2014 John Hinde Award for Science Fiction—Last Days to Enter!

By September 18, 2014 Entries

Thanks to a generous bequest from the legendary Australian film critic John Hinde, the Australian Writers’ Guild (AWG) presents the 2014 John Hinde Award for Science Fiction.

To encourage and promote science fiction, the way John Hinde intended, the scope of eligibility has expanded. The award is now open to produced and unproduced scripts. Sub-genres and cross-genre pieces are encouraged and will be accepted, too. From horror-hybrids to post-apocalypses—the AWG wants to see it!

The writer of the winning produced script will receive a cash prize of $10,000.

The writer of the winning unproduced script will meet with, and have their script considered by, a leading genre producer. All travel costs will be covered.

Submissions close 9am Monday 22 September 2014.
