The old adage “it’s not what you know but who you know” may be a bit oversimplified, but networking is certainly an important component of the creative industries. In this year’s Vivid Ideas Exchange, Belvoir and Metro Screen will host a Theatre and Technology Mixer.

This event will be an intimate gathering for those working in the theatre or screen arts industries to meet and create big ideas: technology in theatre, theatre in technology, and all the wonderful possibilities that are yet to be discovered. This won’t just be a business card swap meet, this structured event will introduce big ideas and create space for conversations that lead to incredible opportunities.

It all happens at the MCA on Monday 27 May from 7.30 – 8.30pm as part of the Vivid Ideas program.

Belvoir and Metro Screen pride themselves on their mission of supporting emerging and professional Australian talent. Apply for your spot, come have a drink, meet other creative professionals who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of their industry. Come away with new contacts, new ideas and a fresh perspective on the theatre and screen arts industry. The format of the evening will be a unique combination of showcasing cutting edge examples from Australia and overseas, along with bespoke structured workshop sessions.

This event is open by application. To apply for a theatre spot please send your bio to publicity@belvoir.com.au if you’re in screen arts / technology, please send your bio to metro@metroscreen.org.au by Monday 20 May 2013 at Midday.
