Momentum builds towards the 2013 Blue Mountains Film Festival. The Blue Mountains Film Festival is gearing up for this October’s event as it continues to grow in scope for it’s third year. This year’s short-film grand prize has risen to $5000 thanks to the Festival’s Major Event Partner, Scenic World. Feature films are also promising to be a bigger part of the 2013 Festival thanks to feature films researcher Tim Hoar. The 2013 festival will feature a range of new activities thanks to the boost in support from Blue Mountains City Council and the festival’s new partners, The Carrington Hotel, Blue Mountains Cultural Centre & Blue Mountains Lithgow and Oberon Tourism.
The 2013 Blue Mountains Film Festival kicks off on Thursday October 3rd with the opening night party on the Carrington Hotel rooftop and a special Family Night Screening at Scenic World.. The Festival Awards Show at Scenic World on Saturday the 5th will be followed by an exclusive after party on the Scenic World terrace. The festival runs from Thursday the 3rd October across the Labor Day long weekend with events wrapping up on Monday 7th October.
