Damien Power and Craig Boreham pick up awards in Tahiti

Australian filmmakers took out the lion’s share of awards on offer at this year’s Courts des îles Film Festival in Tahiti.

Metro Screen Breaks alumni Damien Power took out one of the two Best Director Awards for Peekaboo while Metro Screen Projects Coordinator Craig Boreham won the Courts des îles Best Screenplay Prize for his film Drowning.

The other Best Director Award went to Sydney based, Seth Larney, for his film The Clearing and Best film to Margherita Spampinato from Sicily for  Segreti.

Courts des îles featured 55 short films in competition from around the world.
