Program Coordinator, Learning and Development
Full-time 

Metro Screen is looking for a highly motivated person to join our Learning & Development team.

Metro Screen is a production and training facility catering for screen practitioners in NSW. As a registered training organisation [RTO] Metro Screen offers accredited training, professional development workshops, industry seminars and skills development in film, TV, online and portable media.

Metro Screen’s Learning and Development team are responsible for the delivery of a range of industry focussed professional development programs including short courses, the Certificate IV in Screen and Media and the Advanced Diploma in Multiplatform Screen Producing.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for Metro Screen’s short courses as well as our part-time Certificate IV in Screen and Media. While it is not a teaching role, the position plays a central role in providing a quality educational experience for Metro Screen students. The Program Coordinator is actively involved in the development, design and smooth delivery of existing and new short course screen programs.

Applicants will have demonstrated skills in administration and project management and should be able to multi-task, prioritise and complete work to deadline. An understanding of the RTO environment or similar educational organisations is an advantage. As the primary contact for students and screen industry practitioners, the successful candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and present themselves in a highly professional manner. He or she will also ideally have hands-on experience in screen media, with relevant technical knowledge an advantage.

The salary range is $40,000 - $47,000 plus superannuation and leave loading. The position offers extensive opportunities for professional development through our industry networks, course attendance and access to equipment and industry events.  Metro Screen is located in Paddington Town Hall.

Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated strong administrative and project management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritise, complete work to deadline and within budget
  • Understanding of screen media and the screen industry
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and reliable team player
Desirable Criteria
  • Tertiary degree in screen or media
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment TAA40104 [or equivalent]
  • Relevant experience in an RTO or similar educational setting
  • Competence in areas of digital post-production
  • Knowledge of MYOB
