Every day environmental issues hit the headlines. Add your voice to the debate by entering TVeBiomovies 2014 – the film competition with a difference. With a chance of winning $1500 and having your finished film screened at the next UN COP conference, there’s no time like the present to enter.
Simply choose a category and tell us how you would use film to express your message. From bamboo to renewable energy, to conservation and a world with a future, there’s plenty to think about. You just need to write a proposal describing your film idea – the plot, the location, the style, etc. If shortlisted by our judging panel, we’ll give you $300 to make and edit it. Two ideas from our seven categories will be shortlisted.
1. The nine shortlisted proposals get $300 to make their films—plenty to spend on props, travel, editing and cast!
2. There are three categories covering renewable energy, bamboo and ‘A world with a Future’
3. The nine films that make it to the final will be screened at the UN COP conference in Korea and again in Peru.
4. The head-to-head on tve’s YouTube channel means there’s a chance to win $1500 if your film gets more views than the other two films from your category
