Eve Pozible Campaign – A Short Film Bringing Diversity On Screen

By March 21, 2014 Events

Zayaan Jappie has a strong vision to make a difference in Australian society and uses filmmaking as a way to spread her message. She and her crew are currently raising $20,000 on local crowdfunding platform ‘Pozible’.

‘Eve’ is a coming of age short film about a teenage girl’s journey of overcoming betrayal and harsh realities of life. Based in South West Sydney, the film intends to challenge preconceived misconceptions and reveal a positive and colourful Australian story, one that is rarely explored on national screens.

Are you tired of the misrepresentation and negative stereotypes associated with Western Sydney?

“Where are the stories about women; strong women from culturally diverse backgrounds on our screens? Why are we invisible?” notes from young director.

To shoot ‘Eve’ the film, Jappie and her talented crew plans to raise $20,000 through community pledges. If they are unable to meet the target by 11th April 2014, they will receive none of the funds pledged.
