Flickerfest, Australia’s premier International Short Film Festival is looking for a dynamic and passionate person with demonstrated experience of large events or festival Box Office management for Flickerfest 2014.
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to play a pivotal role in assisting in the smooth running of an internationally acclaimed and Academy Accredited short film festival. The festival will take place from the 10th till the 19th of January 2014.
This role will be managing all Box Office and ticket systems for the 10 day festival. The Box Office Manager will also manage a small team of Box Office staff.
This is a short-term contract for approximately 3-4 weeks, starting around the 16th of December until the 22nd of January. There is a possibility to start earlier part-time, as long as during the festival is full-time (including weekends).
Duties include but are not limited to:
Install and devise all box office systems for the 10 day festival
Manage all online ticket sales, creation of advance sale ticket lists
Manage comps and working with Festival Manager on partner allocations
Produce and manage daily ticketing sheets and patron numbers/ daily reports
Manage Box Office staff
Programme cash registers/cash handling/cash flow
Previous work experience, preferably within an arts or festival environment.
Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing Box Office for events.
Self-motivated, highly organised and ability to pay great attention to detail.
Ability to operate autonomously and use initiative while still working part of a team.
Demonstrated experience of supervising or managing volunteers and devising staff schedules.
