Join the Human Rights Arts & Film Festival (HRAFF) for its first Sydney fundraiser—a special event preview screening of Still Alice at Dendy Cinemas in Newtown at 7pm, Wednesday 28 January.
The film has received rave reviews and award recognition, with Julianne Moore receiving Golden Globe and Oscar nominations for her leading role. Many are calling Julianne’s stunning performance the highlight of her career as she brings to light the confronting, compelling and challenging world of early-onset dementia.
On a day like any other, Alice, a happily married mother of three, she sets out for a run, taking the route she always takes. However, Alice soon realises she doesn’t know where she is and has no idea how to get home. She is lost—a feeling that only grows for her and her family as time progresses. Medical testing confirms she has Alzheimer’s Disease.
Still Alice is an entirely absorbing and heart-breaking experience that will make you reflect on the strength of the love and support around you.
