Indie Gems is hosting a filmmaking panel discussion as part of the 2013 Indie Gems Film Festival which runs from the 12th to 14th September. This is an excellent opportunity for students studying filmmaking to learn from leading industry professionals, who specialise in new methods of film distribution and marketing.
When: Saturday 14th September 2013. 10am
Where: Riverside Theatres, Parramatta
Moderated by Indie Gems Film Festival Director, John L. Simpson.
Creators of content today are facing an ever changing landscape. On-demand streaming, transmedia and second-screen culture has fundamentally changed the way we watch movies. But what does this mean for filmmakers? How does this change the way you get your film made? What projects are best suited for the big screen? And how can you give your film the best possible chance in the market place? Panellists include Ahmed Salama (marketing director of The Tunnel and The Combinatio), film critic Peter Castaldi and more to be announced.
