Metro Screen JUMP START SUBSIDY
BACKGROUND
Metro Screen allocates resources to subsidise independent productions through its Jump Start Subsidy Fund.
Metro's Jump Start Production Subsidy Committee meets 4 times per year to consider applications. The Committee typically comprises representatives of the Metro Board, Facilities Department and the independent production industry. Applicants should be realistic about the amount of subsidy sought and note that the committee expects a cash contribution by all applicants unless extenuating financial circumstances exist. Applicants will be notified with in three working weeks whether their application has been successful.

Previous successful Jump Start applicants have included:
Peter Humble’s MIZU was selected for screening at the Liquid Lens Festival in Brisbane at the Dendy Cinemas Brisbane.

Khoa Do’s critically acclaimed The Finished People nominated for two AFI awards.

Stuart Vauvert’s Hitch Cock screened in over fifteen international festivals.
