Congratulations Breaks filmmakers Andrea Demetriades and Louisa Mignone whose film Latte e Miele (Milk and Honey) had its world premiere at Flickerfest.

Latte e Miele is a fascinating and distinctive short film about sisters Sofia and Liliana who arrive in a a rural Australian town in 1953. They are welcomed by Fredrico and Umberto, whom they have married by proxy, but have never met before. With only photographs of the two men to guide them, the women have left their war-ravaged home in Naples and taken a leap of faith to a strange land—not for love—but for the chance of a better life. What transpires is a night of chaos, courage, love and sisterhood.

Thank you Andrea and Louisa for bringing this amazing piece of history to life in such a compelling way.
