An industry placement and client driven production means this course is focused on practical industry relevant skills that will enable you to work in the film, television, online and portable media industries. Upon graduation you will have created a showreel containing a documentary, drama and a client focused production.
The intensive full-time program includes 18 hours per week of face-to-face classes combined with several self-paced learning elements. The curriculum is specifically designed to address the employment needs of the film, TV, online and portable media industries, so allowing participants a broad range of career paths upon graduation. Study includes a series of participant-led productions, technical workshops, intensive classroom based teaching and self-paced project work.
Participants work on a documentary, a short drama and then prove their credentials by working on a real-life assignment from an industry client e.g. music video or television commercial. Each participant works on all productions and secures a major crew role of producer, director, cinematographer, 1st AD, sound recordist, continuity or editor on at least three.
Participants are also able to undertake a voluntary industry placement with a film, TV online or portable media organisation providing valuable workplace experience and the opportunity to make an impression.

All participants create a personalised DVD show reel to assist in launching their screen careers. A public screening and graduation ceremony is held for all participants. As well as a celebration for crew, cast, family and friends, this is an opportunity for participants to network with the industry contacts they invite.
