Metro Screen JumpStart recipients, Idle Wrath films launch Indiegogo campaign for ‘Fairy Fort’

By July 3, 2014 In production

Idle Wrath films are Sydney based filmmakers Suzanne Rath & Jason Ide. Having made numerous short films on no budget together, we’ve gathered a top notch team which includes DOP Judd Overton (Nim’s Island 2), Sound Designer Brooke Trezise (The Rocket) & a host of other Metro Screen graduates to make ‘Fairy Fort.’

A magical realism film which aims to marry Irish & Australian mythology in a visually stunning style, ‘Fairy Fort’ will be a 14 minute long short film for entry into festivals internationally, followed by easy online access via video-on-demand. Born out of the feature film currently being scripted by Suzanne, ‘Fairy Fort’ tells the story of Maddy, a young girl who discovers that the forest on her grandfather’s property is home to a magical fort housing dangerous mythical creatures. It will be shot on location in Kurrajong in September 2014.

Rewards on offer in the crowd-funding campaign include shoot diaries, copies of the movie, limited edition posters designed by artist Phil Soliman, filmmaking workshops and the chance to spend time on set. We’re committed to a team approach and aim to involve our supporters as much as we possibly can- feel free to contact us for more information! Campaign link: http://igg.me/at/fairyfort
