Metro Screen project awarded Digital Media grant

By June 2, 2011 Congratulations

On Monday night at the launch of Vivid Creative Sydney the Deputy Premier, Mr Stoner announced funding grants to support twenty projects under its Digital Media initiative. Only two projects were named – Storm Surfers 4D by the Emmy-award winning Firelight team and Hear Right Now a project by Metro Screen tutor and former student, Advance Diploma of Screen Producing graduate Carolyn Mee. Carolyn’s project is a game that is aimed at detecting hearing loss in preschool children in a fun and effective way. By improving the accessibility of hearing tests for children fewer students will suffer the consequences of undetected hearing loss. Carolyn would like to thank Metro Screen and her tutors for their support. “It’s a very exciting project and it would not have come about had I not enrolled in the Multiplatform Screen Producing course in 2010. The quality of teaching was second to none and I feel very privileged to have been part of the course.”
