NAIDOC in the city

By May 22, 2014 Events

NAIDOC Week is our opportunity to celebrate Sydney’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community. Experience the oldest living culture through food, song, dance and art at the City of Sydney’s NAIDOC week launch, Monday 2 July from 11am to 3pm at Hyde Park North.

Enjoy well known singers, participate in traditional dance, try hand weaving, learn about traditional medicines and bush tucker, hear elder’s personal stories. Enjoy a day in the park with your family and friends celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. This year’s NAIDOC theme honours all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women who have fought in defence of country.
