Enter your film in the Lexus Short Films competition 6pm AEST 25 October 2015 and not only will your film be seen by The Weinstein Company (TWC), you will be in the running for the new annual Lexus Australia Short Film Fellowship.

Four Fellowship winners will receive $50,000 each to produce their next short film in 2016, to premiere at the 2017 Sydney Film Festival.

The Fellowships are the largest cash fellowship for short film in Australia, providing a new platform to support future generations of emerging filmmakers.

It’s a simple process with no entry fee and no complex application processes. All you have to submit by 6pm AEST on the 25th of October is your eligible film* and a copy of your CV.

A shortlist of the best Australian entrants will be created by the judges at The Weinstein Company and sent to the Lexus Australia Short Film Fellowship jury. This jury, headed by Sydney Film Festival’s Festival Director Nashen Moodley, will then select the four winners of the Fellowships.

The finalists will be announced in November 2015, the four winners will be announced in April 2016 and their work will be premiered at the 2017 Sydney Film Festival. Find out more.

Australian entrants can also show their creative skills on the world stage, with a chance to be one of four Lexus Short Films international winners who go on to direct short films that will be produced and receive first look deals courtesy of The Weinstein Company, and tour to four international film festivals, including Sydney Film Festival.
