The Oceanian International Documentary Film Festival (FIFO) is accepting submissions for its thirteenth ‘Maison De La Culture’ in Papeete, Tahiti, which will take place from 31 January to 8 February 2015.
Documentaries must be between 15 and 90 minutes and look at all aspects of Oceania and the Pacific Islands—social, economic, cultural and environmental. Films made prior to January 2011 will not be accepted.
Entrants must submit three copies of their film on DVD or USB stick, three photos from the film, and a completed registration form. The selected documentaries will compete for the FIFO France Télévisions Grand Prix, three Special Prizes, and one Public Prize, all of which will be awarded in cash.
The festival competition is also open to short ‘Oceanian Fiction’. Entries must be between two and 20 minutes. Entry requirements include a digital copy or DVD, a photo, and a script for films in English. The selected films will compete for the Public Prize at the ‘Oceanian Fiction’ evening, which will take place on 31 January 2015.
Deadline for documentary and short film entries is 1 October 2014.
