Pink, a Metro Screen Breaks Story to Screen 2013 recipient, is written and directed by Lynne Vincent-McCarthy. Inspired by acclaimed British author Ian McEwan’s short story ‘Butterflies’, it is a powerful exploration of a man’s struggle with dark desires, and the cost of this struggle to his humanity. Leon is a socially awkward and isolated man who is haunted by a shocking crime involving a young girl. But is this is a memory of something that has already happened or a dark fantasy from which he can’t escape? The film will have a delicate and raw cinematic style, evoking a sense of melancholy and unease.
