Popcorn Taxi – Curse of Chucky

Popcorn Taxi & Universal Pictures present Curse of Chucky + Q&A with director, Don Mancini, LIVE, from Los Angeles!

Curse of Chucky (also known as Child’s Play 6: Curse of Chucky or Child’s Play 6) is the sixth installment in the Child’s Play franchise, and was written and directed by Don Mancini, who created the franchise and has written all of the sequels so far. Curse of Chucky brings the horror back to the franchise, using crowd-pleasing techniques and elements found in the original three Child’s Play films. In fact, Curse of Chucky is a sequel to Child’s Play 3 [1991]. The film sees the return of brilliant character actor Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky—which also stars Dourif’s real-life daughter, Fiona, in the lead role as Nica.

Nica (Fiona Dourif) is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives in town with her young family to help settle their mother’s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nica’s plans for the future, Barb’s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (Brad Dourif) that recently arrived, mysteriously, in the mail. But as a string of brutal murders begins to terrorise the household, Nica suspects the doll may hold the key to the bloodshed. What she doesn’t know is that Chucky has a personal score to settle. He is determined to finish a job he started more than 20 years earlier, and this time he is going to see it through to the bloody and shocking end.
