We are looking for a Production Assistant to help out on the short film “Ruby”. Shoot dates Mon 15th April – Friday 19th April. Sydney metro.
As we are well into pre-production, we need someone to jump in and hit the ground running as soon as possible. This is an unpaid role, but you will be credited on the film and well fed on location!
See story synopsis below.
Today Abbie is going to steal back her child Ruby. Problem is, she doesn’t know what Ruby looks like. Both mother and child were separated five years ago. Will they still know each other? Abbie thinks so.
The film is a culmination of real life stories from women and their situations, thoughts and feelings around “forced adoption” in the past and present. The film also raises questions about modern day adoption. Above all, it delves deep into the bonds between mother and child and happens when they are broken.
