Project SciFi Takes Over Sydney

WD, a leader in storage technology, launches WD Project SciFi, its inaugural short film awards in Sydney on 19th December 2013

Filmmakers, animators and machinimatographers were given the chance to create the SciFi film they always dreamed of, with $10,000 cash and WD prizes on offer.

Filmmakers were given 28 days to write, to, write, shoot, edit and produce their SciFi masterpiece.

Andrew Cosby, American comic book creator, film producer, screenwriter, and most notably the co-creator of the hit SyFy TV series Eureka, is the international judge.

The Awards Ceremony will take place at the Wesley Mission Centre, 220 Pitt St, from 7pm on 19th December 2013, in the heart of Sydney, recognising talent and imagination on the big screen.

To celebrate our first ever SciFi event, we invite you to come to the screenings as your favourite SciFi character and party on at the SciFi Xmas Party afterward at the St James Hotel, across the road.
