This year Kirra Kite Festival proudly announces the introduction of the Sunset Film Jam, an exciting new addition to the program of activities. The Sunset Film Jam is a Short Film Fest celebrating innovative filmmaking techniques and Point of View storytelling.

Sunset Film Jam features a competition for the best filmmakers who utilise Point of View camera work in a number of key categories and we are calling for aspiring filmmakers to enter.

Grab a camera ,any camera, and shoot the world around you as you see it. The Sunset Film Jam wants you to be a part of filmmaking history. You don’t have to be a professional or experienced filmmaker, but you do need to string a good story together.

This year’s theme is ‘Freedom’. Whatever freedom means to you, just capture it. Freedom to travel, freedom to skate, freedom to explore the world around you. There will be a panel discussion on the night, featuring a number of talented local filmmakers and key innovators including Bali Strickland, Jeff License and Salvador Cantellano and more.
The best films will be shown on the night and there are prizes to be won. Entires are now open and will close on 1st November 2013 at 5pm.
