Sydney Surf Film Festival: Event Camera Operator (Unpaid)

By January 12, 2015 Jobs

Want to be a part of the inaugural O’Neill Sydney Surf Film Festival (SSFF)?

SSFF is an annual celebration of surf culture in the original surf city, and we’re looking for a keen Cameraman to come along and capture some of the key events of the festival.

Dates: 20-31 January in Manly and/or Bondi.

Times: 6pm-9pm

Gear will be provided.

We are looking for the following:

• Experience with DSLR (Canon or Panasonic)
• Experience filming events (weddings or conferences)
• You must also love surfing and cinema!

This is a volunteer role. However you will be compensated for your time (screening tickets, sponsor giveaways), and there is potential for future paid work.

In terms of video outputs, we do not require interviews or audio. We simply need stunning shots that can create an event library of footage that can be edited into small online videos.

We have events spread across the city, and generally filming is required from 6 – 9pm each night. We do not require a Camera Person for the entire duration of the festival, but for key events only. An exact schedule will be provided on expression of interest.

So if this sounds like you, email your details and/or showreel to info@ssff.com.au, as we would love to have you on the team!
