Join the Sydney Writers’ Festival (SWF) volunteer team and take part in Australia’s biggest literary festival!

SWF is recruiting a team of 250 volunteers to help stage our week-long annual festival of inspiring author talks and thought-provoking interviews.

This year’s Festival will be held from the 18-24 May, with some extra events in the lead-up to the main Festival weekend and several taking place in suburbs throughout Sydney.
You can select which days, times and locations you are available for on the online application form here: http://www.swf.org.au/volunteers

SWF volunteers fulfill crucial roles at the Festival, including:

•          Ushering and ticket collection
•          Offering information and guides to patrons
•          Running the Volunteer and Writer Green Rooms
•          Managing book signing queues

The (compulsory) Volunteer Orientation session will be held on Saturday 2 May from 12.00-3.30pm at Walsh Bay, our Festival precinct.

There are no prerequisites for volunteering, you’ll just need a big smile and an appreciation for good writing and those responsible for it – novelists, journalists and lyricists, illustrators and screenwriters, playwrights, poets and spoken word performers – SWF celebrates writers of all kinds and all genres.

Applications will close next Friday 20th March and places are limited, so get your application in soon!
