Hopscotch Features is on the hunt to find Australia’s newest and freshest filmmaking talent. If you live and breathe film and have been looking for a foot in the door, Hopscotch Hero is an opportunity to get advice from the best in the business about turning your vision into a cinematic reality.

By entering the Hopscotch Hero competition, you’ll be in the running to win a meeting with Hopscotch Features and Entertainment One Films Australia Managing Director Troy Lum (The Water Diviner, Saving Mr Banks, Charlie’s Country & Mao’s Last Dancer), and Hopscotch Features Producer Andrew Mason (The Water Diviner, The Matrix and Tomorrow: When The War Began).

We are calling on budding Australian filmmakers to submit short films (no longer than two minutes) about superheroes. You need to come up with your own superhero, make a short film about them, and send it our way. It must be your own original idea and can be shot on a regular video camera or smartphone such as an iPhone 5 or equivalent Android device. You must be an Australian resident and over 18 to enter. If you win, Lum and Mason will read your script, meet with you so you can pitch your feature film or television series idea, and provide you with valuable industry feedback and advice.

Entry Deadline: Thursday 1 October 2015
