Award-winning creative team—Dana-Lee Mierowsky Bennett, Brendan Shaw, Chris Rollans, and Brian Carlin—have banded together to create an exceptional short film called Sammy, and are looking for two young aspiring actors that are keen to be involved.
This is an exciting crowd-funded, self-funded, heart-felt short film about two young siblings struggling to survive in a refugee camp in post-apocalyptic Australia.
We are currently casting the following roles:
Sammy—10-year-old girl—is strong, determined and ambitious with a happy-go-lucky exterior, which hides her pain and suffering. Sammy lost part of her childhood, and since being orphaned, has vowed to protect her brother—a promise she made to her parents. Sammy always seems calm and pleasant.
Max—5-year-old boy— is highly energetic, nervous and anxious. A deep thinker for his age, Max has emotional outbursts and wears his heart on his sleeve. Max clings to his sister at all times.
The Director has a ‘working with children check’. Parental permission is essential.
