Sydney Film Festival has partnered with Spectrum NOW and Transmission Films to bring you this special event at Hayden Orpheum Cremorne on Thursday 12 March at 6.30pm.

The great actor Alan Rickman directs and plays King Louis XIV in A Little Chaos, a sumptuous romantic drama about the construction of the gardens at the Palace of Versailles.

Sabine (Kate Winslet), the designer of the gardens, becomes drawn to the architect Le Notre and forms a bond with the Sun King himself.

“The film is a gracefully made delight, replete with lush costumes, fruity performances, love among the flowerbeds, and even a little mild peril,” wrote Screen Daily.

The screening will be presented by Alan Rickman with a Q&A following the film.

Tickets are now on sale. The first 20 Sydney Film Festival newsletter subscribers to purchase tickets using the code SFFSUBSCRIBER will receive a 20% discount on ticket prices.
