Australia’s Silent Film Festival – Bowral

St Jude’s Music Association and Australia’s Silent Film Festival are proud to present a  wondrous session of restored silent classic comedy shorts films with live musical accompaniment by Heather Boyd. Music scores are presented by arrangement with Australian composer, Greg Smith.

On 5th October 2013 at 3pm. Heather Boyd shall accompany a set of classic short films. These treasures shall include works by Buster Keaton, Australia’s Billy Bevan and Laurel and Hardy! Silent Comedies……priceless!

One Week (1920) Buster Keaton’s amazing skill and talent are evident in this short comedy full of physical action, gag and stunt wizardry!

Super-Hooper Dyne Lizzies (1925) Australia’s Billy Bevan (born in Orange, NSW) stars in this Mack Sennett classic with eccentric inventors, cars misbehaving and the usual chaos.

Big Business (1929) The boys, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, are selling Christmas trees to customers who resist. Destruction and laughs all round.
