Breaks Film ‘The Widow’ Wins Best Film at Cause

By September 25, 2015 Congratulations

Congratulations writer/director Katie Found, whose short drama, The Widow, took out the Awards for Best Film and Best Cinematography at the 2015 Cause Film Festival.

Made with the help of Metro Screen’s Breaks program and Carers Australia, The Widow follows the story of an elderly couple through the aftermath of their marriage breakdown. Despite heavy guilt and obligation, a woman decides to leave her mentally ill husband, making us ponder how much suffering is too much for the ones we love?

The Cause Film Festival’s aim is to support charities and good causes while at the same time giving filmmakers the opportunity to express themselves creatively. All profits are donated to the cause or charity represented by the winning film.
