Screen and Media are part of a Creative Industries boom happening in NSW at the moment. There is strong growth in video production and specific careers such as Editing, Assistant Directing and Producing.

Antony Waddington – ProducerAntony spent the 1980’s – 90’s working as an actor with (amongst others), the Sydney Theatre Co., State Theatre Co. of South Australia & The New England Theatre Co. At the same time he began working as a producer with Paper Bark Films on training films & music videos for Sony Music, WEA, EMI & Mushroom Records. He executive produced, was stills photographer & co-wrote the documentaries, Spirits of the Carnival, Tides of Passage & Photographers of Australia. Antony developed & produced Fred Schepisi’s multi-award winning 2011 feature adaptation of Patrick White’s novel, The Eye of the Storm (staring Geoffrey Rush, Charlotte Rampling & Judy Davis). He has several features & documentaries in development including, The Madman’s Tale, Gus, Powder & Belonging. Antony also lectures in Producing, Production Management, Business Communication & Cultural Studies; his qualifications include an M.A. Performance Studies (Syd. Uni.) & a B.A. Communications (UTS).
John Janson-Moore – Writer, Producer, DirectorJohn Janson-Moore is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer and visual artist working across a broad spectrum of media. John’s work has spanned across broadcast television, film festivals and the web and has screened locally and internationally. John shot and directed ‘Accentuate the Positive’, a one-hour documentary for ABC One’s Compass program, about the introduction of a revolutionary new curriculum based on positive psychology at Geelong Grammar School in Victoria. In 2005, after receiving support from the Japan Foundation and the Sundance Institute (USA), John produced Kidnapped!, a documentary about the abduction of Japanese citizens by North Korean spies. The film premiered at the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) in competition for the prestigious Silver Wolf Award and has since sold to broadcasters in more than 15 countries worldwide, including across Europe, Asia and America. In 2013 John was awarded an ATOM Award for his series ‘Not In My House’.
Jennifer Perrot – Producer, Writer, DirectorJennifer Perrot is an AWGIE nominated writer and award-winning director of short films, TV drama and commercials. A graduate of AFTRS and UTS, Jennifer worked at Foxtel as a producer & director for the Arena Channel comedy ‘Kate & Julia Show’ and Lifestyle Channel’s ‘Lifeforce’. From 2003 – 2008 Jennifer based her career in the UK where she won the Best Young Director award at the Broadcast Now/BBC B+ Young Talent Awards and directed TV drama for BBC 1, ITV, Channel 4 and TVCs in the Benelux. Jennifer has written and directed award-winning shorts – BREATHE, A MATTER OF LIFE and FLIGHT – a UK Film Council-funded short which have been received with acclaim at international festivals. In 2011 Jennifer directed short film THE EXAMPLE (official selection for Directors UK and Arri “Challenge Alexa” showcase at London Film Festival 2011). Jennifer is currently developing her debut feature, DUST OF LIFE with support from Screen Australia. The film was also chosen for development at the prestigious Binger Film Lab Script Development Program and then the intensive 6 month Binger Directing Program with industry mentors such as Judith Weston, Arne Bro, Gyula Gazdag, Ken Dancyger. Most recently, Jennifer has directed OFFSPRING for Channel 10 / Southern Star and has several feature projects in development.
Guest Moderator – Annmaree J Bell, Producer Azure ProductionsAnnmaree is the producer and founder of Azure Productions, with over 15 years project management experience Annmaree most recently completed thriller/horror feature film The Jungle with writer/director/producer Andrew Traucki and is in development on several feature films including ‘Teenage Kicks’ with writer/director Craig Boreham.
