After an amazing launch in July, StoryCode is back for another action-packed night.
For those of you who missed last month’s spiel, StoryCode was founded in New York as a transmedia meetup, evolving into an open-source global community for those who are passionate about exploring and building the future of storytelling. Now, it’s officially happening in Sydney and we’re inviting you to become part of this exciting global community, connecting cross-platform and immersive storytellers from the fields of digital media, tech, social impact and beyond.
Storycode Sydney will meet next week at Event Cinemas, George Street, on Thursday 28 August, 6-10pm, where we’ll be investigating ‘transmedia delivery to grow audience engagement’. Beyond this, Storycode Sydney will convene monthly educational, informational and co-creational events, which will spawn new immersive experiences, stories and technologies.
Don’t miss out on your chance to connect with innovators in the fields of digital media, tech and social innovation spheres to both explore and createthe horizon of transmedia storytelling.
Keynote Speaker Michael Hughes, Soap Creative, will take us through a case study of their transmedia extension to the Australian pre-apocalyptic thriller These Final Hours.
Following this, there will be five five-minute pitches (calling-out for collaborators), a little networking, and then the screening of the film.
Entry is free, but food and beverages are on your own recognisance (available from the Gold Class Lounge menu).
