Metro Screen with support from Screen NSW manages the Lester Bostock Indigenous Mentorship, which offers indigenous filmmakers the opportunity to produce their first short film. Each filmmaker was provided with equipment, facilities hire, stock and post-production as well as a $2,000 budget and an industry mentor to help guide them through the process. These films screened at the Chauvel Cinema on 20th April. This mentorship now forms the FIRST BREAK film funding and support program. Metro Screen congratulates the cast and crew of the following films: ‘The Caretaker’ by Alanna Rose, ‘Fault’ by Martin Adams and ‘Quarantine’ by Tyrone Sheather.
