Looking Out is the first short film from young actor/filmmaker Tristan Artin. The film’s script has been in development for the past two years, receiving excellent feedback both in Sydney and the United States (New York, Los Angeles). The film will give emerging talent the opportunity to work with seasoned professionals.
The film has attracted internationally recognised Australian talent including award winning Cinematographer Steve Arnold (La Spagnola, Disgrace, Separation City) and film editor Claire Fletcher (Mad Bastards).
Due to the support of the NSW Juvenile Justice Department, the film will be shot at Yasmar Juvenile Detention Centre in Sydney. It will be approximately 10 minutes long and upon completion will be submitted to national and international film festivals.
The film was recently successful in being selected as part of Metro Screen’s Jump Start Program, which will provide a subsidy on equipment costs.
