Mind Your Head is a community and cultural event bringing people together to tackle the ‘black dog’ of depression in support of the Black Dog Institute. Taking place at the Information & Cultural Exchange (ICE) in Parramatta on 25 September, it’ll be an evening of short films and live performance celebrating collaboration, community and creativity. The aim of the event is to raise awareness and understanding, promote help and care, and dispel the myths and stigmas that surround a very common issue.
We would love your short film to be part of our event. We’re looking for films that say something about depression in some way, shape or form. It doesn’t have to be dark and serious. What we’re really looking for is uplifting stories about survival, hope and solidarity. Films can be up to 15 minutes long, and it’ll be a great way to get some exposure for your work.
To submit your film for consideration:
1. Upload your film to YouTube and set it to ‘unlisted’.
2. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the link.
3. Include cast and crew credits as well as a short bio about yourself.
4. Make sure you own copyright of the film including the soundtrack.
Submissions close Friday 13th September 2013. If you have any questions, email us at: email@example.com or call us on 0456 746 699.
