We’ve got a short film shoot in two weeks time, from 26-27 August (with a possible third half day on another date) and we’re looking for a talented DOP to shoot it.
The short is a pantomime-style comedy with dramatic elements and is a bit of a loving homage to Charlie Chaplin’s films. There’s very little dialogue and we’re focusing on physical humour. I’d like to keep the camera work relatively simple and beautiful composition is paramount, rather than fancy camera moves in this case.
We’re very lucky to be filming at a wonderful real life circus and the main characters are of course clowns, both in the film and real life (the actors are professional clowns) so i expect it to be a fun experience for everyone.
We’re shooting this as our entry into Flickerfest this year and as such everyone involved will of course be credited fully and recieve the film for their reels.
We only have a very small budget and everyone is donating their time to be a part of it, so the pay would be minimal, but all expenses would be covered and you also recieve our priceless eternal gratitude.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in working on, please get in touch, with a reel if possible so we can see if your style might be suitable.
