Short Film Collection for 2013 International Chinese Film Festival
International Chinese Film Festival (ICFF) is one of the most distinguished and significant Chinese Cultural events in Australia, and is held annually in Sydney and Melbourne. It aims to introduce new Chinese films to Australian audiences, broaden the understanding of Chinese film culture, and increase the collaboration between Chinese film professionals and their international counterparts. The International Chinese Film Festival 2013 will be held between 12th to 19st October 2013 at Event Cinemas George Street in Sydney and 18th to 22nd October in Melbourne.
“Short Film Session” is a newly established Segment in this film festival, which aims to select excellent Chinese short film all round Australia and provide an international platform for those who harbor dreams of original works to showcase their talents and creativity. Through screening the films, the audience can experience the unique attractiveness of the short films.
The purpose of the short film session is to highlight the originality of Chinese films in Australia. As scheduled, there will be 10 pieces of work selected and displayed during the film festival. And in the end, of all the nominated films, one of them will be evaluated and rewarded as the best original microfilm by the professional jury.
