The Tale of Studio Ghibli: Celebrating the Genius of Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata

Madman proudly presents a theatrical animation showcase that celebrates the genius of Japanese filmmakers Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. The Tale of Studio Ghibli will be in selected cinemas nationally from October to December 2014, with Sydney dates scheduled from 9-22 October 2014 at the Dendy, Newtown.

The showcase will feature four masterpieces from these iconic filmmakers, along with two feature-length documentaries that provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into the making of their latest award-winning films—The Tale of the Princess Kaguya and The Wind Rises.

Hayao Miyzakai and Isao Takahata are the co-founders of renowned Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli. As creators of some of the most beloved and award-winning animated features the world has known, their legacy is one of unrivalled imagination and unsurpassed excellence.
