Vision Splendid Winners

By July 15, 2014 Congratulations

The winners of the inaugural Vision Splendid Short-Film Competition have been announced.

The best film went to local Winton filmmaker Stephen Tasic for Boulder Opal Country.  Stephen was awarded $1,000 in prize money and the opportunity to have Boulder Opal Country precede Bill Leimbach’s feature film Waltzing Matilda.

Maeve McKenna won the Audience Award for Winton In A Word.

The winning entries can be viewed here:

With entries received from New South Wales and Queensland, the aim of the competition was to make a film no longer than seven minutes on the topic of A Town Like Winton.

In keeping with next year’s ANZAC Centenary Celebrations, the theme for the 2015 competition will be Unsung Heroes.
